Overlocking 5 Week Short Course

So, you've started your sewing journey but really want to tidy those seams, maybe you've purchased an overlocker or are tempted to buy one but you're too scared to use it? Overlockers can be daunting and frankly very intimidating with those sharp blades ready to gobble up your precious work.

Join us and learn the basics of an overlocker, from threading to maintenance to machine use and functions. You'll create an awesome hoodie you can wear with pride.

All course material, essential tools and machines are supplied, all you need to do is show up with a smile.

This 5 week short course will run for 5 weeks with 1.5hr weekly lessons.

- How to use an overlocker

- Machine maintenance 

- Overlocker tension settings

- Four-thread overlocking

- How to sew and overlock stretch fabric

- Tension adjusting

- Handling fabric through an overlocker

- Controlling speed and accuracy

- Changing thread easily

- Disengaging cutters for other machine functions

- Adjusting stitch length

- Adjusting cutter width
