Refund policy
We have a 10-day return policy for physical items, garments and products, which means you have 10 days after receiving your item to request a return.
For physical items, garments and products your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Classes - an alternative class may be offered if the student was not able to attend their lesson. If a student has missed a lesson for any reason the teacher may organise a makeup lesson during studio open hours (these makeup classes are usually in mixed groups with other students whom have also missed a lesson and will have a small fee associated) and are not guaranteed to be within the same fortnight or month as the missed lesson.
No refunds will be given if a student has attended part of a short course, course or term, or had started their short course, course or term and failed to make lessons resulting in the student being substantially behind or unable to complete their short course, course or term before the end date.
PLEASE NOTE: If course material is covered by Sew Me School of Fashion and Design, 50% of course costing is non-refundable.
Workshops are non-refundable two weeks prior to the workshop starting date.
It is up to the student or purchaser to request refunds and makeup lessons.
To be eligible for a return or refund you can contact us at sewmeaustralia@outlook.com.au. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your item, garment or product. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
To be eligible for a refund a written request with course, class or workshop details is required, as well as your receipt, name and reason for wanting a refund.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products and underwear).Unfortunately we also do not accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
